Katie Price is flogging £1k Alsatian puppy Bear after he escaped mucky mansion three times
The reality star, 40, is getting the Alsatian neutered and entrusting a breeder to find him a loving home
KATIE Price is giving away her £1,000 dog Bear after he kept escaping from her mucky mansion and running on to a busy road nearby.
The 40-year-old wants to find the pooch a loving home after three near death experiences in a matter of weeks earlier this year.
A source exclusively told The Sun Online: "Bear kept getting out on the main road and Katie doesn't want to risk him getting hurt or worse.
"A breeder is going to have him neutered and find him a permanent loving home, and Katie will still have plenty of pets around to keep her company."
The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Katie for comment.
Katie's remaining pets include Bear's half sister Sparkle, her Sphynx cat Hagrid and five horses.
Just weeks ago Katie came under fire for using a piece of blue rope as Bear's lead.
The dog's last known escape was last month when a passing police officer saved him from being run over.
The cop scooped up the pup close to the A24 in Sussex, while Sparkle returned home on her own.
Alsatian Bear previously broke free and wandered dangerously close to the dual carriageway on two other occasions.
A source told us at the time: "Katie really needs to shore up her garden as it's only a matter of time before something bad happens if the dogs keep escaping.
"Luckily motorists spotted the dogs and drove carefully while they were loose and a policeman was on hand to help out."
In February Bear ran onto the same busy dual carriageway - a year after her previous dog was killed by a car.
The fearless dog hopped a fence near the star’s £2million nine-bedroom Sussex mansion and ran out among speeding traffic.
Luckily, a passer-by stopped and took the terrified mutt to a vet.
It is the same stretch of road - the A24 - where one of Katie’s horses died after escaping from a field in 2017.
Katie came under fire from fans after getting the £1,000 puppy in November, after she was forced to sell her beloved farmyard animals to raise cash and avoid bankruptcy.
Most of the model’s menagerie was up for grabs including llamas, goats, pigs, sheep and horses.
It comes after we revealed Katie’s dog was allegedly mowed down and killed by a Domino’s delivery driver dropping off pizza to a neighbour last year.
The former glamour model said she was devastated over Queenie’s death and accused the driver of a hit-and-run.
