Craig Revel-Horwood says he sees Stacey Dooley & Kevin Clifton’s romance as a Strictly success story
The catty Aussie-born judge added: 'I hope they live happily ever after'
CRAIG REVEL-HORWOOD sees Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton’s surprise liaison as a Strictly success story – despite Stacey’s ex Sam Tucknott being heartbroken.
In a new interview, the catty Aussie-born judge said: “I hope they live happily ever after.
“It will be another Strictly success story. I never call it the Strictly curse, I call it the Strictly blessing. People need to fall in love.”
Devastated Sam branded Kevin a “slimy snake” after finding a text from the Grimsby-born dancer telling TV host Stacey: “I love you”.
Craig, who has just finished judging Dancing With The Stars in Australia, said he was shocked Darcey Bussell had left Strictly — and tipped former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger to replace her.
The Sun told last week how BBC bosses were also keen to get Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta lined up for the job.
Darcey quit as Strictly judge recently over a pay row.
Craig added: “I love her and we’ve got on so well over the last seven years.
“But people like to move on and she wants to do other things. I encourage that, and change is good.”
On Nicole, he said: “She’d be fabulous.
“And Anton Du Beke definitely wants to do it. I’d love to see Nicole, or Carlos Acosta.
“But nobody has actually expressed anything to me. And I’m generally the last to find out.”
Whoever they choose, I’m sure Craig will put them through their paces.

LIFE'S A DRAG FOR LORRAINE
SHE has dealt with enough divas on her ITV show, so I think Lorraine Kelly will have no qualms knocking a few drag queens into shape.
The Sun columnist has landed a plum job as a guest judge on the UK version of cult series RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Scottish presenter will sit on the panel alongside drag queen Rupaul, Michelle Visage and another celeb on BBC3 later this year.
The Sun recently told how Cheryl Tweedy had signed up to appear on the show, with Graham Norton and Alan Carr also announced as guest stars.
Lorraine tried to get Cher to appear on the US version of the hit last year, saying: “You have to go on RuPaul’s Drag Race, please.
“They would spontaneously combust if you were on that.”
If Lorraine can convince Cher to take part, they should make her a permanent judge.
