The film is based on a true story, set in the 1930s, and focuses its attention on two of the most notorious gang leaders in London: Billy Hill and Jock ‘Spot’ Comer.

Together, the Jewish duo led one of the biggest crime empires, which ran for close to three decades, and ultimately opened the doors for fellow criminals Kray Twins and The Richardsons to partake in their own ventures.

Who is in the cast?

Once Upon a Time compiles together an impressive number of well-known actors including Jamie Foreman – most famous for his role as Duke in Layer Cake and Derek Branning in EastEnders.

Is there a trailer for the movie?

An official trailer was unveiled back in January, as it tells the story of London’s two most notorious gangsters and their journey to becoming crime mobsters.

Their rise is portrayed just as well as their sudden fall, when Hill and Comer turn against one another and their organization begins to crumble.

Terry Stone, who depicts the life of Hill in the forthcoming film, saw an importance in touching upon the subject of friendship and worth, explaining how his character had almost died while ultimately losing everything he owned by the time he decided to retire.

“Spot stayed in too long,” he said, having also co-wrote the film alongside Will Gilbey and Simon Rumley.

“He thought of himself as the Einstein of crime but he ended up getting almost murdered and finished his life as a penniless greengrocer in north London, dying without his wife and kids.”

When is the official UK release date?

Once Upon a Time in London will officially hit theatres on April 19.
