Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure devastated over death of friend as she makes emotional appeal for cancer charity
LINE Of Duty star Vicky McClure has been left "devastated" following the death of a close school friend who passed away aged 35 from a progressive brain tumour.
The actress, who plays Detective Inspector Kate Fleming in the hit cop show, paid tribute to Tyrone Wayland Pinnock when he died, just 18 months after being diagnosed.
The 35-year-old posted a picture of them together on Instagram, writing: "We went to school together.
"He was by far one of the kindest, funniest, the most caring guy you could wish to know and for his family and friends it’s a devastating time.
“We must keep funding the wonderful people that give invaluable support, care and compassion to those battling and their families.
"From the bottom of my heart, thank you in advance for . And for those of you who didn’t know Ty, you do now. Lucky you!"
