How to watch Game of Thrones season 8 in the UK – plus season 7 recap
GAME Of Thrones is back for its last season and fans are settling in for the Long Night as Dragons and White Walkers prepare to do battle in Westeros.
Season eight has premiered on HBO but viewers in the UK will also be able to watch the much-anticipated episodes on NOW TV.
Here's everything you need to know about the new series.

What happened in the Game of Thrones final season 8 trailer and are there any spoilers about who dies?
The first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones was screened at an extravagant premiere in New York last week.
Spoilers promise unsettling violence and plenty one-liners that will keep us guessing.
Fans though did get a chance to watch the first proper footage of the six-part final season trailer.
As usual, the producers haven't given too much away in the trailer with regards to the plot of series 8, instead it just offers a glimpse of what is in store.
In the recently released trailer we witness Sansa Stark as she appears to betray Jon and Daenerys while glaring at them as they both walk towards their dragons.
Jon Snow and Queen Daenerys are then seen riding with their armies together as her two remaining dragons fly around them.
We get a hint that Lady Sansa Stark might be betraying the dragons and her cousin Jon in order to claim the throne for herself.
The trailer opens with assassin Arya Stark fleeing in the catacombs in Winterfell from an unknown assailant - which is the only inkling that the trailer gives concerning possible deaths.
She runs battered with blood on her clothes as the trailer cuts to another scene where she holds her sword and says: "I know death. He's got many faces, I look forward to seeing this one."
The clip also appears to show Bran, who was left unable to walk in the very first episode, apparently walking at Winterfell as he surveys the troops.
He says: "Everything that you did brought you where you are now. Where you belong. Home."
Gendry is briefly seen as he makes more weapons able to kill the White Walkers for the armies.
Then White Walker viciously cuts through North men preparing audiences for a huge battle. Jon runs with someone that appears to be Arya as she faces the White Walkers with her dragonglass blade.
In the meantime, Jaimie Lannister finally arrives in The North and pledges to fight for the living after fleeing from his sister Cersei's cruel plan to destroy the country so she can keep her throne.
He says: "I promise to fight for the living and I intend to keep that promise."
Back in King's Landing Cersei drinks wine in the great hall filled with fire pits after winter arrived,, perhaps confirming she is no longer pregnant.
The trailer ends with frozen cloven feet stomping on the ground as the Night King's armies arrive in Winterfell.

When will Game of Thrones season 8 premiere and can I watch it on Netflix?
Game of Thrones season 8 started in the UK on Monday April 15 at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
It aired in the US the night before on Sunday April 14 on HBO.
For those who can't wait until Monday evening to watch the episodes, Sky Atlantic will broadcast it at 2am on Monday – the same time it will be airing in the US.
The episodes will also be available to watch on NOW TV in the UK.
We know the final series will be the shortest in Game of Thrones' history with just six episodes, following on from the seven in season seven.
It seems very likely that each episode will be feature length but could range anywhere between 60-120 minutes in length.
Although the show may be coming to an end, the creator George R.R. Martin revealed he would have liked the show to continue for several more years.
“We could’ve gone 11, 12, 13 seasons," he told . “David and Dan have been saying for like five seasons that seven seasons is all they would go. We got them to go to eight but not any more than that.
"There was a period like five years ago when they were saying seven seasons and I was saying 10 seasons and they won, they’re the ones actually working on it.”

What happened in Game of Thrones season 7 and how did the series end?
Over eight years and 67 episodes, there were twists and turns a plenty – so where did we leave Westeros at the end of series 7?
Here are the most important moments from the last series for a quick catch up…
- The Night King slayed Daenerys’ dragon Viserion, turned it into a zombie ice dragon and used it to break through the wall.
- The White Walkers are marching south after the north’s final defence has failed.
- Jon Snow captured a White Walker and showed it to Cersei Lannister but she refuses to help the north fight the army of the dead.
In the season 7 finale unaware of Jon’s lineage, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow hooked up for steamy sex on a boat. Samwell Tarly and Bran Stark revealed Jon Snow is RELATED to Daenerys through his legitimate Targaryen birthright – his true name is Aegon Targaryen.

Who will be in the Game of Thrones season 8 cast?
While the final cast for the series is not confirmed, all of the characters who survived season seven will be reprising their roles for the finale.
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) are back. However we don't know how long they will live for in the final season.
The show has featured a host of guest actors and cameos, so don't be surprised if another high-profile star repeats Ed Sheeran's brief (and not entirely popular) season seven exploits.
Another recurring guest star who should play a prominent part is Mark Gatiss – his character Tycho Nestoris has increased in importance as the show nears its conclusion.
Alfie Allen's character Theon Greyjoy is somehow still going strong, and his vicious uncle Euron will again be played by Pilou Asbæk.
However, Aidan Gillen's time on the show looks to be over, after Petyr Baelish's dramatic demise in the season seven finale.
