BRITAIN’S Got Talent welcomed back Susan Boyle tonight to mark 10 years since she first auditioned, and the singing sensation appeared to get quite overwhelmed by the occasion.

Simon Cowell rushed to comfort Susan as the crowd gave her a standing ovation after she finished her original audition track of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables.

The 58-year-old Scottish singer stunned the judges’ way back in 2009 with her performance, which turned her into a worldwide viral sensation overnight.

Judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were left speechless as SuBo belted out the iconic track.

Clearly seeing the experience a shock to the system for Susan, her mentor and friend Simon, 59, rushed to greet her onstage.

The music mogul gushed to Susan: “Still got the magic Susan, haven’t you? Thank you for coming back.”

Susan was then joined by hosts Ant and Dec behind the curtain, where she remarked how they “haven’t changed a bit” since 2009.

Ant fondly replied: “Oh you can come again. Come whenever you want.”

The singer finished as runner-up in the third series of Britain’s Got Talent, with dance troupe Diversity being crowned the winners.

However, coming second doesn’t appear to have done Susan any damage. The star has gone on to achieve 23 million album sales, a cluster of UK and US number ones and a stack of Guinness World Records.

Susan is promoting her new album TEN and recently revealed she has a secret crush on no other than Good Morning Britain host, Piers Morgan.

She said: “Now who wouldn’t like Piers Morgan? I took one look at him on Britain’s Got Talent and said, ‘I want you mate. I want you - come this way, Piersy Baby’.

“He’s a good laugh - he joins in. And he’s very clever too.”

“And gorgeous? You took the words right out of my mouth!”
