Cheryl set to return to The Greatest Dancer after impressing with ‘baptism of fire’ performance with Strictly pros
Host Jordan Banjo told how her epic performance sealed the deal - but she's yet to sign a contract
CHERYL is set to return to The Greatest Dancer after impressing bosses with her "baptism of fire" performance with the Strictly professionals.
The pop star has been praised for winning over viewers on the BBC series despite fears she was out of her depth.
Now sources say it's only a matter of time before a contract is signed to ensure she stars in the second series.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun Online, co-host Jordan Banjo revealed he expects Cheryl's fellow dance captains Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse to also be snapped up by show bosses.
"As far as I know everyone is coming back," said Jordan.
" I've already heard loads about what's to come.
"We've learnt a lot and I'm sure the show is going to come back bigger and better than last time.
"Cheryl brought so much to the show as a dancer and dance captain.
"She was wicked to work with and handled everything really well.
"Her performance with the Strictly pros was like a baptism of fire.
"Getting on stage with them at world-class level and holding her own, she smashed it."
Cheryl was made a dance captain on Simon Cowell's latest show The Greatest Dancer soon after her musical comeback.
She was slammed by fans over an "embarrassing" performance on The X Factor which saw her licking her hand and and rubbing her bottom, before collapsing into a heap on the floor.
But fans were left surprised by Cheryl's dance talents when she performed with the Strictly Come Dancing stars in a raunchy routine.
They went wild as she shook her bottom at partner Pasha Kovalev in a Latin-style solo.
She's now expected to make a return for the second series after the BBC commissioned another edition of the show.
"When you think of Cheryl, you don't automatically think of her being a dancer," said Diversity star Jordan who spoke to The Sun Online at .
"She's a global performer and singer. She has such a huge list of accomplishments which overshadow her dance ability.

"The fact of the matter is, she is trained and does know what she's doing. She has the experience and understanding of performing in front of thousands of people all over the world - you can't teach someone that."
Jordan is also hoped to be making a comeback on The Greatest Dancer alongside co-host Alesha Dixon.
