However not everything went to plan during a segment with two lambs ahead of the Easter weekend.

Squealing, Emily told John: "I've always wanted to pick up a lamb!"

But within seconds of John handing it to her, the lamb wiggled so much Emily accidentally dropped it.

She cried: "Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I just dropped a lamb on television!"

While the lamb was fine, and enjoyed some milk from a bottle given by John and its handler, it left its mark on Emily.

A few minutes later, John was seen grabbing a wet wipe and rubbing the hem of Emily's pretty bright pink and red patterned dress as they giggled.

She admitted to viewers after a household cleaning VT: "Have you got any tips on how to get lamb poo out of a dress?"

John hadn't escaped unscathed either, pointing to his trousers with a laugh and saying: "She's got lamb poo on her dress and I've got lamb wee on my leg."

Emily then sniffed her hands before shoving them under John's nose and saying: "It stinks!"

The pair had a right laugh and just like the hosts they were standing in for - struggled to contain their giggles during the lambing segment and subsequent poo chat.

Viewers were loving their partnership and Emily's "natural" presenting style was praised on social media.
