Emma Bunton reveals the Spice Girls have been asked to do Glastonbury – but want to see how reunion tour goes first

EMMA Bunton has confirmed the Spice Girls have been asked to do Glastonbury - but they're waiting to see how their tour goes first.

Baby Spice admitted the legendary music festival wants the girls to "say they'll be there" but they won't make a decision until they wrap up their reunion gigs this summer.

Emma, 43, addressed rumours the iconic girl band will perform at Glasto on Radio 2's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show this morning.

She dished: "We have been asked - we're going to see how this tour goes first!"

We revealed the Wannabe hitmakers were in talks with festival bosses Michael and Emily Eavis about a headline slot in December.

It came after months of speculation that the girls would grace the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm, following their highly anticipated reunion.

Mel B said at the time: “Glastonbury. It’s been talked about. But we’re so pop and it’s so cool — that’ll be funny to me.

I think Mel C would really appreciate us doing that — she’s the cool one. She’s the cool indie chick.”

The decision means there's no chance the girls will play the festival this year as their 23-date UK stadium tour wraps up just 11 days before Glasto kicks off on June 26.

The Spice Girl camp was rocked last month when Mel told Piers Morgan she'd romped with bandmate Geri Horner back in the Nineties.

The shock revelation left married mum-of-two Geri "livid" and saw tensions run high between the singers.

But Emma recently told Jonathan Ross the band have cleared the air and are back on good terms.

Asked if the tour would go ahead, Emma said: "Of course, we are starting rehearsals on Monday.

She went on: "We all know each other’s characters so well that we deal with each other in different ways, we have different friendships, so we work really well together."
