The 29-year-old's fans were stopped from leaving at the end of the show at The Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham
EMILY Atack's debut stand-up gig dramatically ended in a theatre lock-in amid reports of "people with machetes" outside.
The Talk Thirty To Me audience were told to stay inside while police dealt with the incident in front of The Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham this evening.
I'm A Celebrity star Emily had ended her one-woman show when the crowd were stopped from leaving the building.
She went back on stage to reassure fans about the hold-up.
Emily said afterwards: "Birmingham.. I can’t tell you how special you made my first show. What a wonderful audience.
"I laughed (and almost cried) with you all. I’m sorry for that scare at the end, how awful?! hope you all got home safe! LOVE YOU ALL!"
Fans thanked the actress for her kind words, while others explained what had caused the theatre lock-in.
One said: "There was a lock-in due to a police incident outside the theatre. Reports of people nearby seen with Machetes."
Another added: "You handled a difficult situation very well and professionally - thanks for a good show."
Someone said: "Great night & home safe now thanks."
Despite the scare, fans praised Emily for a hugely successful debut.
"You were bloody brilliant Em! Had a fab night!", said one.
Another added: "Loved it, well done @EmAtack, so funny."
Emily's mum Kate Robbins was there to support her daughter.
She told fans: "What kind of non biased comments can a mother say about her daughter’s show??
"I watched @EmAtack in ‘Talk Thirty To Me’ and laughed aloud with the sold out audience
"Couple of impressions chucked in, not too many, great observations + warmth. Feeling proud doesn’t describe it!"
On Friday, April 12, Emily joins I'm A Celebrity pal John Barrowman to present This Morning for the very first time.
He told The Sun Online how they've been forced to rein in their "naughty" behaviour when they sit on the famous couch.
They stars told bosses they wanted to kick off the show with a Buck's Fizz as they celebrate hosting together for the first time.
But the close pals admit knowing they will have to tone down their wild antics that are usually only appropriate after the watershed.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, John said: "If you want to be naughty, you can be naughty - but within the limitations.
"We're not going to do anything stupid or outrageous because we know the time slot.
"It's not after 9pm, it's in the morning, so there's restrictions that we have.

"We're not going to be rude or overtly disgustingly gross. That's saved for evening television.
"But I know we're going to have a lot of fun."
The Sun Online has contacted Birmingham Police about the incident outside The Old Rep.
