EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace left ‘speechless’ by fan’s terrible Kat Slater tattoo
EASTENDERS' Jessie Wallace has been left speechless by a shocking fan tattoo of her character Kat Slater.
The inking shows Kat's face on what appears to be at the top of a man's hairy knee.
It has the character's trademark jet black hair, orange tan, blue eyeshadow, hoop earrings and a leopard print collar. Comically, it also has the man's leg stubble showing through on Kat's face.
Next to it are the words "total s**g".
Fans of the soap will know it's in reference to the infamous line Kat said to her husband Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie: "I didn't just become a bit of a s**g. I became a total s**g."
The inking was flagged up to Jessie on Twitter, when another fan sent her a snap of it.
The woman wrote: "Please appreciate this tattoo of Kat I just saw on Instagram please and thank you."
Shocked Jessie, 47, replied: "Mmmmm. I don't know what to say. I'm speechless."
Next to the Kat tatt is a drawing of Malory Archer, from animated series The Archers.
The picture was originally posted by artist Lucy Blue, who revealed it belonged to a man called Stephen and was inked by Jolie Rouge tattoo shop in Islington, London.
In January fans were left in stitches when a YouTube video by teenager Chi With A C went viral thanks to her uncanny impressions of Albert Square favourites.
It included Kat's "I didn't become a bit of a s**g" line.
Jessie first joined the soap in 2000, quickly becoming an iconic character before her departure in 2005. She has been back and forth since then and rejoined again last December.
Her role as Kat won her the National Television Awards for Most Popular Newcomer (2001) and also won the British Soap Awards Best Newcomer (2001) and Most Popular Actress (2003), and the British Soap Award for Best Actress (2011).
