ITV cuts Danny Dyer’s rude joke about ‘popping up’ to see Camilla while presenting a gong at posh Olivier Awards

CHEEKY Danny Dyer shocked theatre bosses at the posh Olivier Awards with a rude gag about guest of honour Camilla.
The star, 41, was presenting a gong when he caught the Duchess of Cornwall’s eye and quipped: “No Charlie tonight? I’ll pop up and see you later.”
ITV cut the gag from the show at London’s Royal Albert Hall when it aired later on Sunday evening.
An insider told The Sun said: “Danny’s known for his cheeky humour but bosses were hoping he’d keep it in check — especially as Camilla was in the audience.
“The ceremony is very formal so anything close to the line makes producers nervous. Some saw his gag as a step too far. It had to be cut from the final broadcast, no question. It could have upset the Duchess.”
Danny, who also rattled bosses before the ceremony by breaking protocol and smoking on the red carpet, made the gag as he presented the Cunard Best Revival award.

The EastEnders star returned to theatre earlier this year in a two-man show with The Office star Martin Freeman, 47, celebrating the playwright Harold Pinter.
He said of the £700 a week wage: “It is very hard living off that. I have never understood that with our game, you know.
"The fact that you do theatre, really credible stuff, and it pays you no dough. All you are left with is a bit of fag money.”
