Oti Mabuse’s husband ‘threatens’ her Strictly partners to stop curse in its tracks – and she finds it sexy
OTI Mabuse has revealed her husband enforces a "no unnecessary touching rule" to stop the Strictly curse in its tracks.
The South African dancer appeared on Loose Women today and admitted she finds it sexy when Marius Lepure, a Romanian dancer, scares other men off her.
She laughed as she told the panel: "So we did Strictly Germany together. He did a season before me and then I came on after but then I moved to the UK.
"So he is like a real macho man, he talks like this (deep voice) with an east European accent and he's always like, 'just don't touch my wife unless you have to. Unless you reeeeally have to. Just don't.'
"And then he gives them this really firm handshake like, 'I'm watching, I see what you're doing'.
"It's sexy! You're standing there and your man is like threatening your dance partner. You're like, 'yes baby!'"
Marius even gave her Strictly 2018 partner, Graeme Swann the special treatment.
The 28-year-old star revealed: "Graeme is my best friend now but he knew nothing about me then. He came to me with a big bouquet of flowers and he was like, 'Oh Oti I'm so excited for our journey.'
"And out of nowhere my husband came over and took these flowers out of my hands and said, 'she's allergic to flowers.'
"I am which works for him but I never got flowers again."
Oti studied civil engineering at university before embarking on a career in professional dancing, following in the footsteps of her sister Motsi - nine years her senior - who is a professional ballroom dancer.
Since the start of her professional career, Oti has earned various awards including first place in the German Championship Freestyle Latin competition.
She joined the show in 2015 for its thirteenth series and was partnered with boxer Anthony Ogogo but unfortunately did not make it past week three.
Oti was then partnered with Hollyoaks hunk Danny Mac, and the duo were the show's standout performers, topping the leaderboard seven times on their way to the finals.
They were just beaten in the grand final by a stunning performance from sports presenter Ore Obuda and his partner Joanne Clifton.
But during the annual Strictly tour she and Danny were voted the favourite of audiences after being voted winners the most times.
