Fans are raving about the nostalgia packed trailer online - but were shocked to see Mischa Barton in the new cast
THE Hills New Beginnings teases a reunion between Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby in the new MTV trailer.
The rebooted show arrives on June 24 and reveals the ex-lovers are set to reunite, as well as a surprise casting from Mischa Barton.
MTV confirmed last year that the hit show, which aired for six seasons from 2006 to 2010, would return when the castmates reunited on the red carpet at the VMAs.
They've billed the show to be: "Based on the series that changed the reality TV landscape" and added it "will reunite original cast members and add notable newcomers, as they write their newest chapters in relationships, romance and success".
The nostalgia-packed trailer revisits Spencer Pratt’s proposal to Heidi Montag and Audrina Partridge and Justin ‘Bobby’ Brescia’s break-up, to the soundtrack of Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten.
It then cuts to the present day, with snippets also showing new additions to the show, including former OC star Mischa Barton, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's son Brandon Thomas Lee and baby Gunner, the young son of Heidi and Spencer Pratt.
It promises viewers that "it’s time to start all over again."
A flurry of fans took to Twitter to share their excitement over the preview piece.
"I'm that invested in The Hills that whenever I hear Unwritten all the best bits of thee show come flooding back like I was actually there, as if I'm an actual cast member."
Another wrote: "Is it completely ridiculous that I got goosebumps watching this?! #TheHills was the greatest thing, I'm so excited"
Another person said: "I already know I'm gonna be so obsessed!"
Back in August, a trailer for the new series also played during the MTV VMAs after some of its original stars posed on the pink carpet of the star-studded bash.
It revealed that the lives and looks of cast members have totally changed since their days of fighting, ruthless bitching and massive bust-ups.
However, original cast members Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari will not be taking part in the show.
Lauren recently announced that she's pregnant with her second child.
The Hills: New Beginnings will air on June 24 on MTV.
