Geri Halliwell quit the Spice Girls due to ‘deeper relationship’ with Mel B, hints Scary Spice’s ex in resurfaced interview
Mel's first husband US dancer Jimmy Gulzar hinted in 2002 that Scary and Ginger were a lot more than just friendly bandmates
GERI Horner quit the Spice Girls due to a “deeper relationship” with Mel B, according to Scary Spice’s ex husband.
Mel’s first husband, US dancer Jimmy Gulzar, who briefly inspired her to change her name to Mel G, hinted at more between them back in 2002, when he said: “Melanie had showed me and told me how close she was with Geri.
"Melanie and Geri have a relationship with each other that was deeper than a lot of people think.
“You can see there is a deeper thing going on there than just being members of the group.”
Referencing Mel’s angry reaction to the abrupt departure of Geri from the girlband in 1998, Jimmy added: “Melanie was hurt that Geri left because they were really, really close.”
Mel B rocked plans for a calm Spice reunion this summer with her bombshell lesbian sex claim on Piers Morgan’s TV show Life Stories.

Yesterday Geri’s team said: “She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.”
Her words have reportedly created 'bad blood' between the two women, with a source telling The Mirror:
"Mel is totally perplexed by Geri’s denials.
"Mel feels Geri is making her out to be a liar. She said, 'It’s almost as if she is trying to erase our history.'"
"There is a lot of bad blood simmering away. It’s [the Spice Girls tour] going to be interesting."
Geri gave no hint that there was 'bad blood' ahead of the highly anticipated Spice Girls tour today as she shared a video of her learning some choreography.
