It comes after the recent anniversary of the tragic Big Brother winner’s death by cancer.

Jeff, 39, said: “I haven't necessarily focused on where I'm at, I always focus on the boys first. But maybe now it's going to die down a little bit, I can do that myself.

“Now I can start thinking, 'actually, now it's time for me to grab a friend, have a chat about it, let it out'.

“And again, I haven't really done that for ten years, to be honest.”

The former Shipwrecked star endured pastings from former Special Forces soldiers Ant Middleton, Matthew 'Ollie' Ollerton, Jason 'Foxy' Fox and Mark 'Billie' Billingham.

Jeff was joined by other celebrities in the Andes Mountains in Chile including Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, former Olympian Victoria Pendleton and ex Chelsea star Wayne Bridge.

The show features its famous grilling sessions with recruits pouring their hearts out and speaking about previous issues.

Jeff admitted: “I felt that mentally I was in a good place, but what I found out was how I channelled my energies.

“I was very supportive of the group, but I'd only allow myself to be on the edge of the group and I do that for whatever reason, that's my coping mechanism for the last ten years but what I learned in order to let people support me I need to really show them everything.

“The ugly bits, things I always told myself were negative.

“The main lesson is just to allow yourself to be vulnerable. Whether this is a guy thing, but you know what the last ten years is likely to have been like for me and I haven't shared much of myself or how it made me feel. I don't necessarily have to do that from the rooftops, but for those around me, they are seeing a much more honest and real version of myself.

“Physically and mentally I'm all right, but in terms of channelling my energy and opening up, that's what I needed to learn and I got it.”
