MICK Jagger has been forced to postpone the Rolling Stones’ US tour after docs told him to have hospital treatment.
The devastated singer, 75, will be admitted in weeks.
On Saturday night he apologised to fans but vowed to get better — with new dates being booked.
A pal of the band said: “As happens ahead of every tour, Mick had a routine screening where something untoward was found. It is something that needs monitoring over the next month, and may require hospital treatment.
“It’s a setback, but Mick trains like an athlete and looks after himself. He’ll get better quickly.”
The 17-date No Filter tour was due to kick off in Miami on April 20 before ending in Oro-Medonte, Canada, in late June.
It will be pushed back by around a month, with new venues being located and booked in the next few days.
Until then Mick will maintain his daily exercise schedule, and continue to monitor his diet.
On Friday he dined in one of Miami’s most exclusive Italian restaurants, Casa Tua.
He was joined by bandmates Charlie Watts, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, and their wives Shirley, Patti and Sally.
Mick’s girlfriend of five years, US ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick, 32, was by his side.
On Tuesday, he and Melanie, mum to his eighth child Deveraux, threw a party to celebrate the Rolling Stones ballet. Shortly before the scare, pals say Mick was as “chipper as ever”.
Yesterday he wrote on Twitter and Instagram: “I’m so sorry to all our fans with tickets. I hate letting you down like this. But I will be working very hard to be back. Once again huge apologies.”
Son Lucas, 19, replied: “Love you Dadda. You’ll be back fast!”
The band added: “Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment.

“He is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”
In 2014, Mick was diagnosed with acute traumatic stress disorder in the wake of his ex-partner, L’Wren Scott’s death.
