Louis Tomlinson takes twin sisters go-karting for their birthday but celebrating is ‘hard’ following Felicite’s death
The family celebrated Daisy and Phoebe's 15th birthdays but admitted it was a struggle after Felicite's recent death
LOUIS Tomlinson made sure his twin sisters' 15th birthdays were celebrated with a family day out go-karting, but they admitted they found it difficult following the death of Félicité.
Daisy and Phoebe, Louis' youngest of four sister, turned 15 yesterday and were joined on the activity day by their siblings, Lottie, 20, and the One Direction popstar, 27.
Yet the celebrations were tinged with sadness as it comes just 10 days after the shock death of their sister, Félicité, on March 13, who died in her London home after a suspected heart attack, aged just 18.
Thanking her family for their effort and solidarity via Instagram stories, birthday girl Daisy wrote: "I always knew today was going to be difficult but my family have made it so much fun. I did come last though."
Competitive Louis won the race, and celebrated with champagne on the podium.
Lottie also took to Instagram to share the twin's birthday and paid tribute to their strength on such a difficult day.
"One last happy birthday to my girls," she wrote. "I can't tell you how proud I am of both of you. I know today was hard but you are so strong. I'm the proudest sister in the world, love you more than you'll ever know."
The close-knit family were heartbroken at news of Felicite's death, which came just a little over two years since their beloved mum Johannah Deakin, died after a battle with leukemia at the age of 43.
Following Felicite's death, Phoebe shared the family's pain, writing in a tribute: “Words don’t even begin to describe how shocked and broken hearted we all are.
"You were my best friend, sister, motivator and person that could make me laugh until I cried. I’m lost without you and the thought of never seeing you again scares me like you wouldn’t believe."
She later referenced their mum, saying: “Mummy needed you and you desperately needed her. I’m so glad your [sic] together now and she has you to rub her feet in heaven like you used to. I pray that you’re in a better place now. We love you like you wouldn’t believe.”
