Tragic Love Island star Mike Thalassitis’ final TV appearance will not be shown as bosses shelve entire series of Ex On The Beach

TRAGIC Love Island star Mike Thalassitis’ final TV appearance will not be shown, The Sun can reveal.
Mike, who took his own life at the weekend aged 26, had filmed a series of MTV dating show Ex On The Beach.
But sources say channel bosses have decided it would be insensitive to air the scenes and have pulled the entire series.
A show source said: “Bosses have decided that in the grand scheme of things that there are more important concerns than pulling a series.
“Who knows if it will ever eventually see the light of day but for the foreseeable future they agreed it would be insensitive to Mike’s friends and family to air it.
“It’s not a decision they have taken lightly as series like this do not come cheap.”
Series ten of the show, which has been branded a raunchier version of Love Island, is due to air later this year.
It sees a group of famous singletons try to find love on a tropical island.
In September, The Sun reported Mike signed up for the show in the wake of his split from Megan McKenna.
Megan, whose fame skyrocketed when she appeared on the third series of Ex on the Beach, was among celebs who paid tribute to Mike after his death.
The former footballer, who was 26, was found hanged in a park in Edmonton, North London, last Saturday.
It was revealed the star was grief-stricken over the death of his grandmother, had accrued “huge debts” and secretly battled depression for at least six months.
Mike, who appeared in the third series of ITV2 show Love Island and the fourth series of E4’s Celebs Go Dating, had been due to launch a restaurant in Essex with a pal.
A spokeswoman for MTV did not comment.
