Jack Tweed reveals Jeff Brazier allowed him to meet Jade Goody’s sons for dinner after claiming he’d only seen them once in ten years
JADE Goody's widower Jack Tweed says Jeff Brazier has allowed him to reunite with her sons after apparently only seeing them once since her death.
Jack married Jade a month before she died from cervical cancer in 2009 and says he had been banned from seeing the boys.
But he has now told how Jade's ex got in touch and said that teenagers Bobby, 15 and Freddie, 14, wanted to instigate a reunion.
Speaking about their relationship after Jade's death, he admitted Jeff was right to restrict access back in 2009 as he told the latest issue of: "Jeff stopped me from seeing the boys.
"At that time, I was getting into trouble and I was off the rails - so Jeff was probably right to do that."
Jack added: "Now he’s seen I’ve sorted myself out, so he got in touch and said the boys had been asking about me.
"They came around to mine for tea and Jeff was there so it felt like an awkward first date!"
Jack became recognised in the British press for his rocky relationship with Jade from 2006.
That year, he'd served six months of an 18-month sentence for assaulting a 16-year-old boy.
In March 2009, he was convicted of common assault for attacking a taxi driver the previous year and sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment until his release on 29th May.
Jade and Jeff lived together in Essex with Bobby and Freddie and eventually got hitched just one month before she passed away from cervical cancer at the age of 27.
Jack visits his late wife's grave every couple of weeks to lay flowers.
He is preparing for the upcoming tenth anniversary of her death on Mother's Day after she lost her battle with cervical cancer.
Jeff dated Jade from 2002 to 2004 and has only recently started sharing pictures of their handsome young sons on social media.
He regularly campaigns to raise awareness about the prevention of cervical and testicular cancer.
He’s also fighting for more young people to have the HPV jab, which is now available, and would have prevented Jade from getting the infection which led to her cancer.
Jeff, who now presents TV shows, also writes and lectures about coming to terms with grief.
