Liam hasn't been seen since his media storm when he told a reporter he once walked the streets looking for a "black b******" to kill after a loved one was raped.

He was promoting his new film Cold Pursuit, which was about a snowplough driver seeking revenge against the drug dealers he thinks killed his son.

The 66-year-old faced huge public backlash over his confession.

Neeson said his own behaviour in the past was "awful" and it took him more than a week to calm down.

He told the  "She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way.

"But my immediate reaction was I asked, did she know who it was? No.

"What colour were they? She said it was a black person.

";I went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be… approached by somebody.

"I’m ashamed to say that, and I did it for maybe a week – hoping some [Neeson gestures air quotes with his fingers] ‘black b******’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could kill him."

After the comment caused worldwide outrage, Liam appeared on Good Morning America to insist he isn't a racist - but still refused to apologise.

"I did seek help," the Taken actor explained.

"I went to a priest, who heard my confession and also later confided in two friends and would go out power-walking for two hours a day to get this [anger] out of me."
