After kicking off at 7pm, fans were able to watch the women dance for a whole 24 hours live on the red button.

But soon after the fundraising event Tess was heard screaming as she accidentally tripped over her own feet.

Laughing off the stumble, Tess was supported by pal Claudia who reached out to give her a helping hand.

In footage online, the pair can be seen copying dance moves from a professional while being supported by surprise guests throughout the night.

They started off their long stint with Beyonce's Crazy In Love tune.

“I am so proud to be supporting Red Nose Day with Claudia," said Tess.

"However I’m not sure what either of us were thinking when we agreed to the longest ever Danceathon challenge!

";We were worn out during our first choreography session so it’s no doubt going to be a tough challenge.”

Her close friend and colleague Claudia added: “I’m so excited to be taking on this epic Danceathon challenge with Tess.

"I know it’s going to be hilarious to watch because we’re pretty bad dancers - I’m not very good at standing, let alone dancing!”

The presenters have been in training for weeks to prepare for the challenge.

In order to encourage the public to dig deep in their pockets, the pair have promised there will be no sleep breaks over the 24 hours of dance.
