BO-TOXIC

Jeremy Kyle’s documentary series exposes dark side of Botox industry, sex for rent and knife crime

JEREMY KYLE is no stranger to Botox, readily admitting he uses it to stay looking youthful and now he is using his expertise to expose the industry.

The ITV daytime host is turning investigative journalist for The Kyle Files, in six shows covering sex for rent, moped crime, alcohol, landlords, facial injections and knife crime.

The Kyle Files, which will see Jeremy Kyle look at £3bn facial aesthetics industry and the demand for anti-wrinkle injections, starts at 8pm on Monday

And Jeremy knows better than most the importance of having Botox done safely after turning to it in 2011 after working in the US.

In an exclusive interview, he said: “When I went to America I walked in on the first day and a bloke looked at my face and went ‘Oh no, oh no’.

“So I’ve had Botox in my forehead ever since. I have it done twice a year, sometimes three times, that’s why this particular show was quite interesting to do.”

The US version of The Jeremy Kyle Show ran for 300 episodes.

His new ITV series, which begins on Monday at 8pm on ITV, will see Jeremy look at the facial aesthetics industry, worth £3billion in the UK, and the high demand for anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.

He said: “I get my Botox done with a qualified technician. I’ve used the same guy for five years.

“Nowadays you can go to a hairdresser’s in the high street and have your lips filled with rat poison and that’s frightening.”

Judging by some of the bad jobs I’ve seen — they’re using something far, far worse.

Jezza on...

  • KNIFE CRIME: Ten-year-olds carrying knives are saying: “If you come in our postcode we’ll… ” and that’s their life.
  • SEX FOR RENT: A 19-year-old said her only way of having anywhere to live is to be in this guy’s house and have sex with him five times a week.
  • ALCOHOL: You see the abuse ambulance staff get from drunks and you look at your kids and you think “you lot don’t know how lucky you are”.

Sorry Ali, you can’t Phil in

SHE had no problem charming the likes of Ryan Gosling and Dwayne Johnson on This Morning, but Alison Hammond failed to win over her own co-host Philip Schofield.

The former Big Brother contestant campaigned to fill in for Holly Willoughby while she was filming I’m A Celeb last year, but got knocked back in favour of Rochelle Humes.

Alison was rejected by Phillip Schofield to host alongside him when Holly was in Australia

Admitting her ambitions for This Morning’s top role, Alison said: “When Holly was going to the jungle, I sent a text to Phillip saying, ‘Do you want me to host with you while Holly’s in Australia?’, but I was ignored.

“I went to a function where we were all on the same table and Holly was like, ‘Phil, what’s going on, can Alison host?’

“He said, ‘Did I not reply to you?’ He went to his phone, started texting. I got a ping and it said, ‘No’. I was gutted.”

Geordie’s heading to Shore

AFTER ITV2’s Love Island wiped the floor with MTV’s Ex On The Beach in the ratings, producers plan an X Factor-style revamp to save it.

The series will get its own celebrity version, with former famous couples populating the sexy beach show.

Earlier series featured one “famous” contestant, including Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle and Towie’s Kirk Norcross.

A telly source said: “Producers want to shake up the show so have grand designs on an all-star version filled entirely with celeb ex couples.

“Most will be from former reality shows, including Geordie Shore, Towie and Made In Chelsea, but bosses plan to cast the net wide.”

I can already picture a host of washed-up reality stars forming an orderly queue.
