Kym Marsh ‘lands new TV show and theatre role’ days after quitting Coronation Street
CORONATION Street quitter Kym Marsh has landed a new TV show AND theatre role - days after announcing her departure from the cobbles.
The 42-year-old star already has two jobs lined up after The Sun revealed she'd decided to pack in her role as Bistro boss Michelle Connor on the ITV soap.
Talented Kym has been snapped up by telly bosses elsewhere, with a source telling the : "Kym has a really busy year ahead.
"She’s still got a while left on Corrie and then she’s already got two exciting projects lined up – in a TV show and in the theatre."
The Sun exclusively told how the mum-of-three was walking away from the Street after 13 years and is set to "make a million" in lucrative deals.
The actress – who earns a six-figure salary on the cobbles – will now be free to take on advertising work as well as other highly-paid acting jobs such as panto, telly dramas and reality TV.
She'd been forced to turn down a string of money-spinning ad jobs for make-up and fashion firms in recent years.
But after handing in her notice, she will be able to rake in the cash.
A source said: “Kym will really be able to test her earning power now and the roles and ad work will come pouring in.
“She will be able to bank a million by the end of the year, easily.”
However, show boss Iain MacLeod was hoping to keep her on.

He said: “Kym has done a fantastic job as Michelle. We will be really sad to lose her but totally understand that she now fancies trying something else."
Announcing her exit, Kym previously told fans it has been an honour to work on the soap and insisted her character will be back.
She said: "When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes on Coronation Street I could never have thought I’d be here 13 years later. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to take a break from the show and explore some other roles. But this isn’t the last you’ve heard of Michelle. She’ll be back."
