IF there is an upside to Victoria Beckham snubbing the Spice Girls tour, it’s that the remaining foursome will each pocket a bigger share of the takings.
Now I can reveal Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel are raging after claiming they never gave their consent to bring support act Jess Glynne on board . . . and the four are at war with management over the costly booking.
Jess — who has had more UK No 1s than any other British female solo artist — will pocket an expected £1.3million from her stint on the 13-date run, after signing a deal worth £100,000 per show. But the Spices are refusing to pay her from their cut of the money generated by ticket sales.
A source said of the foursome: “They absolutely love Jess and are huge fans of her music but they weren’t happy when they heard she had been signed as the support act.
“They are blaming Modest Management for sorting the deal without their permission.
“Modest thought booking Jess would be a brilliant move. She’s the most successful singer in the country right now and appeals to a younger generation who perhaps aren’t that familiar with the Spice Girls’ legacy.
“But the girls had faith in their fanbase to make the tour a success.
“They say it wasn’t their decision and are refusing to pay her the money out of their earnings, saying Modest have to sort it from a separate pot. It’s all got pretty awkward.”
Geri admitted to The Sun this week that she’s struggling to relax about the comeback following a string of stalled past attempts.
She said: “I won’t quite believe it’s going to happen until we actually get on stage because of how long we’ve been trying to get there.”
After years of rumours and rebuttals, the girls finally struck a deal to give nostalgic fans what they really, really want with a six-date reunion stadium tour. That was later increased to 13 dates due to high demand for tickets.
The group, who last toured in 2007, kick off the tour at Dublin’s Croke Park on May 24. The run reaches a climax with three massive dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.
After five became four, they want to keep it that way.
OZ gig's a gas for Rita O2RA
IT seems it’s not Red Bull that’s giving Rita Ora wings. The singer has been splashing out on a therapy called hyperbaric oxygen treatment to keep her energised on her Australian tour.
The treatment, which she received in Melbourne, is claimed to boost the body’s natural healing process by dissolving oxygen into the cells.
It involves the patient lying in a pressurised chamber into which oxygen is pumped. The treatment has also been used to treat decompression sickness – otherwise called the bends – which affects divers who surface too rapidly and get bubbles in the blood.
Rita was bubbly enough – in a good way – on stage for Mardi Gras in Sydney.
Hannah's 'a Miley high'
MILEY Cyrus sips on a cardboard cocktail – after joking that her Disney Channel character Hannah Montana vanished because of “a lot of drugs”.
Guest-judging on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Miley, who rose to fame as Hannah from 2006 to 2011, said she was the only one back then who supported her gay pals.
She said: “I was one of the only kids on Disney that would come out and say that I supported all my gay friends. And I would write these songs. No one could say that. I was young and no one really said that. That was just always really important to me, to find what mattered to me.”
In 2010 Miley’s Can’t Be Tamed album included the song My Heart Beats For Love, which was dedicated to a gay friend.
Husband Liam Hemsworth will be hoping for the same treatment.
Liam's rosy chic
LUCKILY for Naomi Campbell, gold chain fan Liam Payne, aka Big Payno, appears to have better taste in jewellery for the opposite sex than he does for himself.
The former One Direction star is so desperate to impress supermodel Naomi that he’s bought her a huge love-heart rose quartz crystal with “soothing properties”. Liam is so chuffed with his purchase, in fact, his pals have been mocking him for circulating a picture of it on WhatsApp.
Naomi, meanwhile, continues to lay down the ground-rules for their budding romance. Her demands include Liam not interfering with her work and the couple not seeing each other more than twice a week.
Liam must be hoping that soothing crystal can loosen her up a bit.
Janet's Glasto no-bro
IT was while Glastonbury 2009 was on that Michael Jackson died – but don’t expect his sister Janet to pay tribute when she headlines the festival a decade on this summer.
The singer has signed up to perform her first UK show in eight years there on one condition – that there is no mention of her brother amid ongoing sexual abuse allegations made in HBO documentary Leaving Neverland.
A source said: “Janet is so excited to play Glastonbury but has been concerned the experience will be ruined by people quizzing her about Michael. She now has a clause in her contract that any Press commitments will include no mention of her brother, and she will not have to discuss the forthcoming Jacko documentary.”
The anniversary of Michael’s death, aged 50, falls on June 25, the day before Glasto starts. Many festival-goers in 2009 found out about his death when DJs around the site began playing Jacko records simultaneously.
Leaving Neverland is set to air on US TV tonight and Channel 4 next week. The Jacksons’ lawyer has already hit out, saying it would go down as the “most shameful episode in HBO’s history”.
Brutal dedication
SIMON Pegg’s gone the full Christian Bale.
The British actor looked unrecognisable as he revealed his impressive six-pack after losing 22lb for new film Inheritance, alongside Lily Collins.
His transformation took six months of drudgery with personal trainer Nick Lower, who tweeted the pic, saying: “The brief for this role was lean – VERY lean.
“It required a specific body shape & look”
Christian famously lost more than 9st to play anorexic Trevor in 2004’s The Machinist.
That’s some brutal dedication.
Riri's in a fine mess
SHE’S just turned 31 but Rihanna is still living up to her Bad Gal RiRi moniker. I’m told the singer threw a debauched secret party for her birthday – and was slapped with a fine after trashing her five-star Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel suite.
An LA source said: “Rihanna hired out one of the hotel’s most expensive suites to celebrate with 13 of her closest friends and they clearly had a wild time partying.
“When cleaning crew were sent after she checked out, they found the suite had been completely wrecked, with ornaments and lights smashed up, vomit all over the sofa, empty bottles and food trodden into the rugs. It was like a scene out of a horror movie.
“Senior hotel staff were immediately called and a full inventory and inspection was made of the room before it was decided that much of it would have to be refurbished because of the dire state it was left in. Rihanna’s credit card was charged a fee for damages in the five-figure range but it wasn’t even close to what they expect it will cost to replace many of the items and refurbish the suite. It was more a slap on the wrist.”

A spokesman for Rihanna has since insisted the party had been a “mellow affair”, with no vomit, while a hotel spokesman declined to comment. The next day, Rihanna nursed her hangover by celebrating with Saudi billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel at the LA Lakers basketball game, where she was given her own “badgalriri” jersey.
He’ll have had no problem footing the bill.

Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes need to be locked away after their cringey 48-hour love-in on Instagram.
The pair confirmed their romance in the most OTT way possible by sharing endless videos and pics of them snogging in prison gear at an Alcatraz prison-style pop-up bar.
