THE Chase fans were left outraged when Bradley Walsh and Mark Labbett persuaded a contestant to refuse a £2,000 offer yesterday.
Viewers blasted the show on Twitter for allowing retired team leader Linda to change her mind when the host and The Beast scoffed at her decision.
Linda, 62, was given the option of trying to scoop £20,000, £2,000 or £1,000 for the prize pot - but was laughed at by the pair after picking the middle offer.
Mark, 53, told her: "I can't believe you're even looking at the £2,000. Play it safe and go for the one grand - or go for the £20,000."
Then Bradley, 58, backed him up and said: "In the grand scheme of things with four in the final it's a loss of £250 each."
People at home were up in arms after Brad continued: "I can’t believe you’ve done that. What a joke."
The Chaser added: "If I was playing I would have taken that grand in a heartbeat."
And Brad agreed: "Absolutely the right decision."
The exchange left viewers unimpressed, as their obvious intervention had an impact on the outcome - with Linda instead opting to go for £1,000.
One viewer said: "What's going on can she change her mind after making decision."

Another mused: "Kind of defeats the object of the show that doesn't it?"
A third moaned: "When people take the low/minus offers then have the nerve to tell others to go high."
All four contestants got back, and beat the Chaser, winning a share of £46,000.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
