LACEY Turner has revealed the happy news she is pregnant but that means Stacey Fowler will be taking a break from EastEnders.
The actress, 30, has played fiery Stacey since she was 16 and in that time she has had her fair share of dramas so her maternity leave exit will be no different and fans have been speculating about how the show will explain her absence.
Stacey didn't cope brilliantly when she killed the last time though Archie Mitchell definitely deserved to die.
She fled abroad after she was exposed as a killer, before later returning and living under an assumed name to avoid fake charges of attempting to murder Janine Butcher.
When Kat finally tracked her down and brought her back to Walford, she eventually handed herself in and confessed to murdering Archie.
She was sentenced to five years but then was released on appeal when the court took into consideration her bipolar disorder.
Could history be set to repeat itself?
Stranger things have happened in EastEnders and Stacey could get herself in trouble with some of Ruby Allen's more dangerous acquaintances - she is Johnny Allen's daughter after all.
And Stacey has never been one to shy away from a fight, but if it comes down to protecting her family or fighting for her friends, Stacey will do a Big Mo and fake her death, funeral and have a Walford whip round to fund her sojourn to Spain while the gangsters are dealt with.
And she could come back just in time for Kat dealing with whatever danger she was in and making Walford all safe and sound.
Sean Slater is making a comeback to Walford.
He will return to reunite with his mother and sister after Jean is diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
But his return could set in motion a heartbreaking storyline as Jean succumbs to the disease and unable to cope Stacey decides to leave her children with Martin and leave with Sean.
Stacey's postpartum psychosis was one of the show's most emotional storylines.
Seeing her separated from her family and unable to function as she normally does saw Lacey give some of her best performances, and it changed Stacey forever.
If she was to develop similar symptoms again - after say, her mum's death from ovarian cancer - it would be a heartbreaking way to temporarily write Stacey out of Walford, but it would give her a memorable and emotional exit.
For all the storylines that could be written about Stacey leaving Walford, there's another that would make as much sense - just not having her on screen.
Corrie famously did this with Claire Peacock when actress Julia Haworth went on maternity leave.
Instead of writing her out with a big storyline they just stopped showing her and instead mentioned her being busy working or doing other things.
By the time Julia was back, it was as if Claire had never left the cobbles at all.
The same could be true for Stacey, she does have about a million kids to look after after all, so could the show get away with it?
