Cheryl, Oti and Matthew’s first ‘live’ Greatest Dancer final performance has been pre-recorded

CHERYL first 'live' performance on tonight's finale of The Greatest Dancer has been pre-recorded.
The pop star will be seen taking to the stage with her fellow coaches Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison and all of their acts in tonight's final, but The Sun Online can exclusively reveal this was filmed ahead of time before broadcast to make sure any missteps were not broadcast.
That's despite the show being dubbed as a live finale.
A source revealed the opening performance had to be recorded three separate times after a series of mistakes that would have proved embarrassing if broadcast.
The source said: "I thought it was all going to be live but then they brought everyone out to perform.
"They had to start again to get the audience cheering the first time, it was pretty embarrassing for them.
"In the next try someone fell over so they had to re-do it again before finally getting it right the third time.
"They shouldn't call it live if it all isn't."
An insider revealed pre-recording opening performances was standard for all entertainment shows.
They added it's done for logistical purposes.
The finale will see four acts compete for the £50,000 prize money and the chance to perform live on Strictly Come Dancing later this year.
Strictly star Oti Mabuse has two acts left in the competition with Ellie Ferguson and dance troupe KLA.
Cheryl drives fans wild as she performs with Pasha Kovalev on The Greatest Dancer semi-final
Cheryl has one act remaining with favourites Harry Smallman and Eleiyah Navis fighting for the prize after their stunning performance last week gave them 97% approval from the audience.
And former Glee star Matthew Morrison has James and Oliver as his hopes to win in tonight's final.
A spokesman for the show has been contacted for comment.
