Megan Barton Hanson QUITS reality TV to make documentaries ‘like Stacey Dooley’
MEGAN Barton Hanson has insisted she is "done" with reality TV and wants to make "serious" documentaries like Stacey Dooley.
The Love Island star wants to follow in the Strictly Come Dancing winner's footsteps and explore her "interesting past", which has seen her work as a stripper prior to finding fame on the ITV2 show, in a documentary of her own.
Speaking about her career plans for the future on Heart breakfast radio today, the 24 year old said: "I want to get in to more presenting, like I love what Stacey Dooley does.
"I think I’ve had such an interesting past, and I love to speak about mental health and working in the sex industry and stuff like that.
"So I want to do more serious – my days of reality are done."
when asked if that means no more reality shows for good, an assertive Megan simply replied: "No."
The star has also ruled out competitive programmes, including Dancing On Ice, which her ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson is currently competing on.
She said: "Dancing on Ice? Could you imagine me? I can’t even dance let alone on ice. No."
Megan went on to speak about her break up from Wes, as she insisted "age and priorities" were the reason for their split.
She said: "I think it’s just age and priorities.
"So for me I went in to Love Island, obviously to find love and to get out of the rut I was in."
She continued: "I was kind of doing glam modelling and I wanted to progress and move forward.
"But I think coming out, Wes was more career driven.
"I wanted someone to be a life partner, to go travelling with to go for nice meals, to experience life with and I think we’re just in different places."

But Megan has hinted there is no bad blood between her and her ex, as she "completely understands" he wants to pursue new job opportunities that come his way.
She said: "It’s completely understandable – at 20, I was banking the cash. I was loving life."
Megan has recently been romantically linked to footballer Dele Alli, and though she has yet to confirm or deny the dating rumours, she has joked no man can come near her without being described as her new flame.
She added: "I just feel like whoever I’m seen with, if they’re male – automatically it’s like Megan and Charlie, Megan and Sam Megan and.. – no man come in a meter radius of me or you will be linked with me!"
