Saara Aalto survives Dancing on Ice’s dangerous blade banger move as viewers slam the judges for ‘low scores’

SAARA Aalto took on the most dangerous move in Dancing on Ice history - but was slammed by the judges for it.
The former X Factor star and partner Hamish turned the headbanger move into an even more dangerous version - and was badly injured in rehearsals this morning.
Instead of being held by her ankles, Saara was held by her blades and in rehearsals hit her head and back on the ice.
But tonight she managed to pull off the move, though the judges were not impressed.
After surviving her performance, Saara said: "This morning was awful, it was so awful. I'd been nervous all day."
Jane Torvil gave her the lowest score of seven and told her: "Well done for coming out after that bad fall.
"For me I've seen you skating faster on your own so when you were on your own I felt you were speed, You were out of sync in some of the steps.."
Christopher Dean said: "I love the performance quality. You go out there and give it 100 per cent every time. I'm not a fan of that lift. Saara just has to lie back and enjoy it."
Jason Gardiner added: "Not to be a misogynistic as Chris.
"I felt this was not your strongest week. But today you made it very basic, very easy. That end lift looked like you were swinging around a zebra crossing."
Saara Aalto and partner Hamish Gaman impress the judges with a fly-away spin on Dancing On Ice
Ashley Banjo added: "This was much more beautiful and elegent on the whole. The lift wasn't the most elegant shall we say?"
Viewers were outraged at the scores and the judges' comments with one tweeting: "Only 7s and 8s? Really, judges? Did you miss that dangerous blade banger? Saara should have got at least 9s for that alone! #DancingOnIce"
Another added: "Scoring on Saara is so unfair! She tries so hard and attempts a dangerous lift yet she has no credit for it. No hate on James but even when he makes mistakes he gets higher marks?? #dancingonice"
