LADY Gaga celebrated Valentines Day yesterday by getting herself a brand new rose tattoo on her back.
The 32-year-old singer took to social media to show her fans the new inking, which takes up the whole of her spine, as a toast to La Vie en Rose- a famous french song that she sings in hit film A Star Is Born.
She wrote: "Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose."
But her trip to the tattoo parlour didn't end there, as Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, also got her musical note tattoo on her arm corrected, blaming the wonky line on 'too many tequilas'.
"Musical crisis averted. Too many tequilas forgot the fifth staff line poor thing. Here’s the real deal," she joked with a picture of the altered inking.
However, Gaga's impromptu trip to get a tattoo on a day where people celebrate their loved ones made fans speculate on whether the claims are true that she's split from her fiance, Christian Carino.
One questioned: "Are the rumours about the break up true? I hope not. Just like the curse you referred in your documentary that once you won something you lost something as well."
While another said: "I noticed she hadn't been wearing her engagement ring."
the Star Is Born star split from Christian last week and he has been "desperately trying to get back with her."
The singer- who confirmed her engagement to Christian in October- caused fans to speculate on her alleged break up after she was spotted without her ring during the Grammys last week, her fiance was no where to be seen and she didn't mention him in her speech.
However insiders have insisted that there's a practical explanation, with a a source telling E!: "She just wasn't wearing her ring due to performing. They have put all their wedding plans on hold until after Gaga's busy season, but still plan to get married this year."
Last week Lady Gaga broke down at the awards show after winning an award for Best Pop Duo/Group performance for Shallow, her A Star is Born duet with co-star Bradley Cooper and as well as paying tribute to the actor-and-director she used her stage at Los Angeles' Staples Centre to highlight the "important" issues depicted in the movie.
She said: "Thank you, thank you so much.
"I've got to thank God. Thank you for looking out for me, thank you for my family at home, I love you.
"Thank you, I wish Bradley was here with me right now...Bradley, I loved singing this song with you.
"If I don't get another chance to say this, I just want to say I'm so proud to be part of a movie that addresses mental health issues, they're so important.
"And a lot of artists, a lot of artists deal with that."
The Sun Online has contacted Lady Gaga's reps for comment.
