CORONATION Street star Dolly-Rose Campbell has revealed she is bisexual after finally accepting who she really is.
The actress, who plays Gemma Winter, is now an ambassador for Manchester's gay pride event and credited the people of the city for helping her build up the courage to come out.
She said she has been a long-time supporter of Manchester Pride - and will voice an upcoming ad for the August Bank Holiday parade.
And the telly favourite now wants to use her experience to help others come to terms with their sexuality.
Dolly-Rose, 31, told the Daily Star: "I have been coming to pride for over a decade now.
“The love and acceptance shown by the people of Manchester allowed me to accept my bisexuality and be proud of who I am.”
Speaking about her desire to help others, she added that she is looking forward to working with the annual Manchester Pride celebration.
Dolly-Rose said: “The work that Manchester Pride does throughout the year to engage with and create opportunities for people in Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community and beyond makes a huge difference to so many people’s lives.”
