The Bachelor UK’s sexy new star revealed as hunky personal trainer Alex Marks

Alex will have his pick of 17 stunning admirers when the show starts later this month

THE Bachelor UK’s hunky new star is sexy personal trainer Alex Marks.

He spent four weeks in South Africa with the show's host Mark Wright and had the tough job of choosing his perfect partner out of 17 attractive admirers.

The show was last on our screens back in 2012, when reality star Spencer Matthews featured as The Bachelor.

Alex lives in London and has worked as a personal trainer for over a decade.

He opened his own fitness business in the capital and now oversees a team of six people.

Over ten episodes on The Bachelor he will be wooed by 17 women who're desperate to win his heart.

Last year The Sun exclusively revealed how former Towie hunk Mark had signed up to present the Channel 5 series.

A TV source said: “Mark has already had an incredibly busy year presenting on Extra.

“Now he’s getting ready to jet off again to front another show which is an amazing opportunity – but it means more time out of the country and being apart from Michelle.

“He’s really excited to get stuck in with the show though and looking forward to lending his professional dating expertise.”

The Bachelor originally kicked off in the UK in 2003 on BBC Three.

It later relaunched on Channel 5 with two celebrity seasons 2013 - starring Spencer Matthews and Gavin Henson.

After the series failed to bring in the viewers, the show was cancelled.

The new show will follow Alex as he looks for love.

Following a series of group dates, one-on-one dates and two-on-one dates, Alex will try to pick his perfect match.

Every week he will give the women he is interested in a rose and eliminate at least one hopeful.
