Zara McDermott and Adam Collard slept in separate beds as she reveals relationship was rocky MONTHS before split
ZARA McDermott admitted her relationship with ex-boyfriend Adam Collard was rocky MONTHS before they split - and they even slept in separate beds.
The Love Island star said the couple had suffered "ups and downs" since moving in together, in an exclusive chat with The Sun Online.

She revealed how personal trainer Adam only spent "50 per cent of his time" with her at their London flat, often choosing to travel back to his home in Newcastle.
And sources say they spent the night in separate rooms at their flat on a "handful of occassions", which 22-year-old Zara blamed on Adam's snoring in a light-hearted YouTube video.
It's thought the distance drove a wedge between the pair, who today called it quits after seven months together.
Speaking to us in December, Zara said: "We've had our ups and downs. There are peaks and troughs in every relationship and we wanted people to understand our relationship is not plain sailing.

"It might look like it is on Instagram, but it's like any normal relationship.
"It's good to open up about it. We've gone through a lot of stuff."
Zara added: "He still spends 50 per cent of his time up in Newcastle.
"Our apartment is where we stay when we're together, but when he's up in Newcastle I go home to my parents instead of sitting in on my own."

Heartbroken Zara today confirmed our exclusive story that her relationship with Adam was over.
It followed crisis talks over Adam’s wild partying with Instagram model Brittany Archer.
Last week the 21-year-old enjoyed boozing until the early hours with the beauty alongside his Love Island co-stars Sam Bird and Jack Fincham, who admitted to taking drugs on the night.
In a statement on Instagram, Zara wrote: "I am heartbroken to announce that Adam and I have parted ways.

"I love him very much and will always have a special place in my heart for him and our time spent together.
"I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work.
"Sometimes in life, you just aren't enough for someone; no matter what do for them or how much you try to me. For everyone asking if I'm OK, I don't know that I am.
"But I know that soon I will be. I will be strong and prove to myself that I can get through this."

While Adam was out partying, Zara spent every free moment in between TV jobs decorating their apartment.
She even launched a YouTube channel and showed fans around the flash pad to share updates on how it was all coming together.
She said: “I thought an apartment tour would be fun, loads of people have been asking how I’ve decorated my apartment.

“Obviously Adam has helped... but it’s mostly been me.
“I’ve got a better attention to detail than he has.”
Answering fans about why her dressing room had a bed, Zara replied: "Does anyone have a boyfriend who snores really loud? Because I do.

"I like to have this other room to go into. I'm really really bad at sleeping next to people.
"I'm a light-sleeper so anything annoys me."
Adam is yet to publicly comment on the break-up.
