BRADLEY Cooper favoured the Baftas over the Grammys last night as he claimed the best original music award for his work on A Star Is Born at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The actor and director, 44, was delighted to pick up the gong, thanking his girlfriend Irina Shayk, who was sitting in the audience, for putting up with his music-making in their basement for the past year.
Bradley missed out on the best director, best actor and best film awards but that didn't dampen his mood.
Upon accepting his prize for best music, he said: "I got to fulfill a dream I never thought would happen and I got to do it with some of the best musicians in the world. The music was the heartbeat of the film.”
Meanwhile, Brad's co-star Lady Gaga enjoyed a successful night stateside at the Grammys inside LA's Staples Center.
The 32-year-old singer-and-actress accepted the Best Pop Duo/Group performance for Shallow, her duet with Bradley.
She paid tribute to her friend and co-star, telling the audience how "important" issues depicted in the movie were.
She said: "Thank you, thank you so much.
"I've got to thank God. Thank you for looking out for me, thank you for my family at home, I love you.
"Thank you, I wish Bradley was here with me right now...Bradley, I loved singing this song with you.
"If I don't get another chance to say this, I just want to say I'm so proud to be part of a movie that addresses mental health issues, they're so important.
"And a lot of artists, a lot of artists deal with that.
"And we got to take care of each other. So, if you see somebody that is hurting, don't look away.
"And if you are hurting, even though it might be hard, try to find that bravery within yourself to dive deep and go tell somebody and take them up in your head with you.
"I love you, thank you so much to the Grammys."
Gaga and her co-writers, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando & Andrew Wyatt, also scooped the Best Song Written for Visual Media accolade for Shallow and she also won Best Pop Solo performance for Joanne.
