EastEnders’ Laurie Brett hops on London bus to star-studded steakhouse reception with wedding guests Tamzin Outhwaite and Letitia Dean
The former soap star said 'I do' in a low-key ceremony at the weekend
FORMER Eastenders actress Laurie Brett was all smiles as she wed her long-term love Dennis Longman at the Islington and London City Registry Office on Saturday.
The soap star, 49, who played Jane Beale on the BBC drama for 13 years, looked worlds away from her well-known character as she dazzled in a lace ivory gown for the intimate nuptials.
Laurie looked utterly radiant in her elegant embroidered dress, which featured floral detailing and sheer cap sleeves.
The mother-of-one styled her hair into a soft curly up-do that was brought to life with fresh flowers intricately woven around the crown of her head.
Her new husband looked equally dapper in blue two-piece suit, light blue shirt and matching tie as they were dropped off at their reception in Hampstead in a vintage double decker bus.
Revelling in wedded bliss, she took a moment to soak up the loving atmosphere and have a cigarette.
Later, Laurie's former co-stars Tamzin Outhwaite, who played Mel Owens, and Letitia Dean, who currently plays Sharon Mitchell, were pictured arriving to the reception at G Wadley's Meat Room.
The pair wrapped up for the festivities in their complementing wool coats as they prepared for a fun night ahead.
Although Laurie hasn't confirmed her wedding yet, she hinted about her exciting weekend on Twitter last week, writing: "Roll on the weekend... Have it large.. xx".
Tamzin intially broke the news of Laurie's nuptials to her followers.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the 48-year-old star first of all shared a picture of some "gorgeous wedding flowers", before sharing a snap of Laurie kissing her new husband.
Tamzin captioned the sweet photo: "Congratulations Laurie and Dan."
Actress Laurie has one child from a previous relationship, welcoming daughter Erin in June 2011.
She first appeared in EastEnders in 2004, with her long-suffering character enjoying a romance with Ian Beale.

Laurie played an integral role in the much-hyped whodunnit storyline following the murder of Lucy Beale before departing the show in 2012.
She then reprised her role of Jane Beale in 2014, leaving once again in 2017.
In addition to EastEnders, Laurie has also starred in BBC drama Waterloo Road.
