Love Island’s millionaire Charlie Brake flirts with Megan Barton Hanson after her split with Wes Nelson
LOVE Island star Charlie Brake has cheekily commented on newly-single Megan Barton Hanson’s latest Instagram post.
The 24-year-old star, who split from fellow Love Island beauty Ellie Brown in October, posted under a pulse-racing shot of the blonde bombshell following her break-up with Wes Nelson last month.
Writing under Megan’s sizzling shot of her in a daring hot pink bodysuit and heels, he wrote: “Megssss” with a clapping hand emoji.
Not the only Charlie to have his head turned by the shot, Love Island hopeful Charlie Frederick penned: “Yes Megs” alongside the fire emoji.
The surprising social media engagement comes after Megan revealed that she split from Wes Nelson because they are at “very different stages” in their lives.
The beauty admitted that she hopes to be engaged by the time she is 30, but 20-year-old Wes is focused on enjoying his life and has different “priorities”.
Speaking to magazine, Megan insisted that their Love Island romance had ended on good terms.
She told the publication: “It all ended very amicably. I really love Wes as a person, but we realised we are in very different stages of our lives and our priorities are different.
“I’m 24 and by the time I’m 30 I want to be engaged. Wes is only 20. He’s living his best life.”
The reality star also insisted that she once believed that Wes was “the one” – and that she is “disappointed” for their fans who had been rooting for their relationship since the pair met on last summer’s series of Love Island.
Earlier this week, Megan lashed out at the Dancing On Ice team, who she claimed “deliberately stirred things up” when they partnered Wes with stunning professional ice skater Vanessa Bauer for the show.
She told at the time: “The fact that the producers deliberately stirred things up by partnering Wes with the youngest, hottest girl annoyed me.
“Also the judges making comments like Jason [Gardiner] saying that Wes and Vanessa made a ‘lovely couple’ was frustrating.”
Megan also claimed that she initially “fought” for the relationship but accused her ex of being too obsessed with the limelight.
She told the magazine: “Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble – but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much.
“I fought and fought and fought for Wes but he doesn’t love me back.”
Megan and Wes were together for five months after leaving the Love Island villa and even moved into a London flat together, before splitting at the end of last month.
The cracks had began to show during Wes’ first appearance on Dancing on Ice as Megan lashed out at his partner Vanessa.
She blasted the skater for her “tactical break up” with her boyfriend the day before she and Wes made their DOI debut – and also claimed that Vanessa had been “disrespectful” of her relationship with Wes.
Megan later admitted that she was “jealous and insecure” – announcing her split from the Love Island hunk just days later.
