I’M A Celeb star Emily Atack has hinted that Inbetweeners star James Buckley was the reason she was axed from the reunion show.
She dropped the hint that James, who played Jay Cartwright on the show, was ‘snobby’ and that’s why she was suddenly axed from Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited.
During the recording of Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast last night, Emily, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe on the show, hinted that one specific cast member was behind her getting cut from the show.
“Richard asked about Joe Thomas, saying it couldn’t be him as he’s a lovely man,” an audience member tells The Sun Online.
“He then bought up James Buckley, and Emily hesitated and then shouted out ‘James F***ley!’ which got a huge laugh from the audience.
“Emily then said that there was a ‘lot of snobbery’ and then said she didn’t want to say anything else.
“It was clear she had some kind of problem with James and was dying to say something but couldn’t say it onstage.”
James's agent did not respond to repeated requests for comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
Emily revealed in December that she had been booked to take part in the two hour TV special alongside Joe Thomas, Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and James Buckley, but was told she wasn’t needed at the last minute.
“Unfortunately, I don't really know what happened there,” she told Capital FM. "I was booked to do it, was very much looking forward to doing it and then the day before, I was told I was no longer needed for it.

"It's alright – these things do happen, and I think they just decided to go a different route with it, I don't know. Or it was to do with production timings and things.”
The show was slammed by fans when it eventually did go out, with James saying it made him look like a “f***ing idiot”.
"I got caught where I was acting up as Jay because there was an audience there of Inbetweeners fans and I got caught in this spot between Jay and myself where myself was going, 'You’re acting like a f**king idiot, you’re being a moron, you’re being a d***.
"And there was this bit where it was like, 'Well they’re all here and they want you to be Jay, so do it.'
"When the audience was there, I didn’t want to seem like a stick in the mud."
He also blamed himself for not intervening more, continuing: "I didn’t want to go, 'Can we stop for a second because I don't know what the f***'s going on here – you’re talking to me like I’m Jay from The Inbetweeners. I’m really not'.
"So that was another one of the reasons why it was a disaster."
