Paxman On The Queen’s Children airs tonight (February 5, 2019) at 9pm on Channel 5.

The series is comprised of two hour-long episodes.

The second part will be shown at the same time next week.

Prince Charles is the heir apparent to the throne

Who are the Queen’s children?

Here’s everything you need to know about the HRH’s offspring…

Prince Charles

Prince Charles, 70, is the Queen’s eldest child and first in line to the throne.

He studied at Cambridge at the same time as Paxman who remarks “You never saw him in the pub.”

From 1971 to 1976 he served in the Royal Air Force and the navy before marrying Lady Diana Spencer with whom he had two sons – Prince William and Prince Harry.

The documentary also reveals that in his seemingly fruitless search for a bride Charles once remarked that he might have to “go gay.”

Following his divorce from Diana in 1996 and her death the following year he later remarried Camilla Parker-Bowles at Windsor Castle in 2005, making him the only member of the Royal Family to have a civil ceremony rather than a church wedding.

In May 2018 he walked his now daughter-in-law Meghan Markle down the aisle in St. George’s Chapel when she married his son Prince Harry.

She was married to Captain Mark Phillips from 1973 to 1992 with whom she has two children – Peter, 41, and Zara, 37.

In the documentary Paxman claims that she had a frosty relationship with Princess Diana and “didn’t like the way she went about her duty.”

In 1974 she survived an attempted kidnapping as she was returning from a charity event on Pall Mall.

Prince Andrew aka the Duke of York, 58, is the Queen’s second youngest child.

He’s currently seventh in line to the throne but will be bumped down into eighth place once Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby is born.

From 1986 to 1996 he was married to Sarah Ferguson with whom he has two daughters – Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Like Prince Charles he also served in the Royal Navy and was awarded the honorary rank of Vice Admiral in 2015.

Like Prince Charles he also studied at Cambridge despite achieving a C and two D grades at A Level.
