There’s been a lot of chat about Nancy Carter and Tamwar Masood in EastEnders lately and fans have been speculating that the pair could return.
So are they coming back and where are they? Let’s find out…
Are Nancy Carter and Tamwar Masood coming back to EastEnders?
Sadly it’s not actually looking likely at the moment. Neither Maddy Hill or Himesh Patel have announced that they’re returning to the BBC One soap.
Maddy is currently playing Ruby Sparks in Casualty while Himesh was most recently seen as Nitin in Channel 4 sitcom Damned.
He’s also due to appear in the upcoming movie The Aeronauts which will be out later this year.
But never say never. And EastEnders boss Kate Oates has teased she’ll be bringing some big names back this year.
We already know that Sean Slater and Ben Mitchell are heading back to Walford, so there’s every chance Nancy or Tam could pop up at some point.
Where are Nancy and Tamwar at the moment?
The couple quit the Square back in 2016 when they went travelling together.
They’re currently living the high life in Australia which is where they’re planning on getting married.
Tamwar called Nancy’s dad Mick Carter to ask for Nancy’s hand in marriage.
But Tamwar’s dad Masood Ahmed had already broken the happy news to Nancy’s mum, Linda.
The parents were delighted and Mick gave everyone in the Queen Vic a free drink to celebrate the upcoming nuptials which are set to take place in Australia.

When is Nancy and Tamwar’s wedding in EastEnders?
We don’t know the actual date yet but we can tell you they’re not hanging around.
Next week Masood will ask returning girlfriend Kathy Beale if she wants to head to Australia with him for the wedding.
He also suggests that they move their permanently, possibly revealing the character’s leaving storyline…
