Coleen Rooney drives brand new £53k Audi days after £21k Honda was ‘written off’ by another car
Coleen joked that she was happy she could get a new car as she didn't like the 'cheap' Honda CRV
COLEEN Rooney has been snapped driving a brand new £53,000 Audi – days after The Sun revealed that her old Honda had been badly damaged.
The 32-year-old mum-of-four was pictured in a sparkling Q7 model following a prang in her battered previous motor.
Pictures obtained by The Sun showed a large dent down the right-hand side of the grey 4x4.
Coleen did not suffer any injuries and later said on Twitter: “Thank you for the messages asking if I am ok. The car was damaged by another car.”
A source told The Sun last week: “Luckily Coleen escaped without a scrape on her but the motor was a mess. One side of the car was completely caved in.”
Coleen later made light of the crash with pals and told them she was secretly pleased she could get a new motor, after admitting she hated the “cheap” Honda CRV she’d been driving.
Coleen was spotted driving around her local town in Bethesda, Maryland, on the weekend in the sleek new Audi, which still had dealer plates attached.
It was thought that she bought it last Wednesday.
The source added: “Coleen prefers pricey Range Rovers to the mumsy Honda so getting a new motor was the silver lining on what was a horrible day.
“She told her friends she was secretly happy about getting rid of it.”
Coleen moved to Maryland with Wayne and their children in September after he signed for football team DC United.
Their move stateside hasn’t been plain sailing. Three weeks ago, former Manchester United striker Wayne was arrested for “public intoxication” after mixing sleeping pills with alcohol on a flight back to Washington from Dubai.
On Wednesday the airport policewoman who arrested Rooney said he could only speak in “broken English” and couldn’t remember his phone number.
Wayne was held in a cell for five hours before being released. He was charged with public intoxication but court proceedings were dropped when he paid a £19.65 fine.

In a statement she added: “Mr Rooney had a strong odour of alcoholic beverage about his person, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.”
The Sun told three weeks ago how Coleen was furious when Wayne broke the news of his arrest.
She yelled down the phone: “How many times do you need to be told?”
