ROXANNE Pallett’s professional life imploded after her shambolic appearance on Celebrity Big Brother – and now it appears her private life has too.
I can reveal the former Emmerdale actress, who falsely accused Ryan Thomas of punching her on CBB last year, has been ditched by fiancé Lee Walton.
The steelworker stood by her during her time on the Channel 5 show — even after he saw her grow close to reality TV no-mark and housemate Ben Jardine.
Now, to rub salt into the wound, I’m told Lee has moved on with a new woman. He took a mystery blonde to a birthday dinner with his parents in his home town of Thirsk, North Yorks, last week.
A source said: “Roxanne’s whole life appears to have fallen apart in the past six months. Professionally, no one wants to touch her and now her personal life is in tatters.
“She and Lee got very serious very quickly but it has ended completely. She is gutted.”
Roxanne found fame as Jo Sugden in ITV soap Emmerdale but made headlines for all the wrong reasons last August. On CBB, she tearfully claimed former Coronation Street actor Ryan had punched her during a play-fight and she was scared to sleep in the same room as him.
Once the truth emerged that she made the whole thing up and he never touched her, more than 25,000 viewers complained to watchdog Ofcom.
It was not her only reality TV meltdown last year. The next month she quit Bear Grylls survival show The Island, on Channel 4, claiming the smell of a bonfire gave her flashbacks to a house fire she was in as a child.
While in the CBB house, she tormented her then fella Lee by cosying up to Ben, who found “fame” on Married At First Sight. He still called her his “soulmate” and told her he loved her despite only having known her a matter of weeks.
At the time Lee, who proposed to Roxanne after just a week of dating, said: “I am not worried. I know she loves me and I love her and we’re strong. Nothing will change when she gets out, other than we’ll get married.”
I doubt the invites even got written.
THE wait is almost over for Madonna’s first video in almost four years.
The Queen of Pop shot the promo for her comeback single in her new home city of Lisbon, Portugal, on Monday, trying to shroud it in secrecy by filming in the dead of night.
I can reveal she rented the huge Panorâmico de Monsanto – a run-down observation deck overlooking Portugal’s capital – to film the video against a backdrop of the evening’s super blood wolf moon.
It appeared red because of a total lunar eclipse, which is sure to give her footage an eerie edge.
She hinted at the shoot on Instagram, sharing a photo of her recently cropped and dyed hair with the caption: “Getting Ready For the Super Blood Wolf Moon! #lisbon #music #magic.”
The gap is the the longest she has ever gone between videos, with her previous one being B***h I’m Madonna featuring Nicki Minaj in June 2015, which has since racked up 288million views.
I told this month how she will release her 14th studio album in the coming months, followed by a global tour which will kick off at the end of the year.
No doubt the stage outfits will be as demure as ever . . .
NINA Nesbitt has a new lease of life ahead of her second album.
The singer-songwriter will release The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change next Friday.
Nina, here at the Palm Springs home of legendary crooner Bing Crosby, where she filmed the video for recent single Colder, was dropped from Island Records in 2016 but has come back better than ever.
Looking back she said: “It was horrendous.”
She certainly doesn’t look too bothered about it now.
RITA Ora looks stunning in this new Instagram snap – and the singer for once came clean about her reasons for posting the sexy image.
She was named this week in a crackdown on underhand advertising via social media – and was warned she risked breaking the law if she failed to change her online habits. Posing here in a fashion campaign for Giuseppe Zanotti, Rita told fans the image is part of a marketing push – ensuring she doesn’t flout the rules again.
She wrote: “Soooo excited for the launch of my new campaign and shoe designs with @giuseppezanotti based on my own personal jewellery. I’ll be celebrating the launch of the full collection tomorrow at 4pm @saks LA, come and join me 🥳❤️💎✨ #ad.”
But if Rita is anxious about the Competition & Markets Authority probe, she has a strategy in place to cope with the stress.
She said: “I meditate every day, in the morning and at night.
“It’s the only way I survive because I used to suffer major anxiety.”
On Monday, I told how EastEnders actor Danny Dyer has also started meditating to keep calm, so I’ve found him a buddy.
Rita went on: “I was really s****y with my own brain. I never took any medicine. I did a course and it changed my life.”
VAMPIRE Weekend have released two songs from their upcoming album.
The US rockers uploaded Harmony Hall and 2021 to streaming sites yesterday, thrilling fans who have been waiting more than Five Years for new music.
The tunes will feature on their fourth studio album, Father Of The Bride, due in the spring. The 18-track collection seems to be a tribute to legendary record producer Quincy Jones.
He’s the dad of frontman Ezra Koenig’s actress wife Rashida.
No wonder it took so long to make if they were waiting for Quincy’s seal of approval.
KING of pop comebacks James Arthur already has plenty to celebrate after battling his way back from music exile to the top of the charts.
And the singer crowned an incredible run yesterday when I presented him with the latest accolade for his downstairs loo – a plaque to mark racking up an incredible One Billion streams on Spotify for his hit Say You Won’t Let Go.
I joined James at Syco Music’s London HQ to deliver the award – which ranks him firmly among the biggest names in the game as one of only ten artists to achieve the milestone.
He told me: “I know what it’s like to have the full roller coaster of this business, so it’s great to still be here, still afloat and now enjoying this sort of success. the big hope for this year is that it continues.”
James is back to work on his next album, the follow-up to No1 Back From The Edge.
He adds: “I’ve recorded about 100 tracks and we’re just whittling it all down. Hopefully it’ll all be finished in about six weeks and then it’s a case of deciding when the time is right to put it out.
“It’s going to be a busy year for me – there will be a tour. It all gets a bit manic the minute you release an album, but the biggest thing is I’m really proud of my new music.
“It’s the strongest thing I’ve ever done.”
On his current form, I’ve got high hopes.
LANA Del Rey, Snow Patrol and George Ezra will headline Latitude Festival this summer. The event at Henham Park, Suffolk, from July 18 to 21, will also host Sigrid, Primal Scream and Freya Ridings and feature comedy from Jason Manford.
