EASTENDERS viewers cannot believe Denise Fox is 50 after she revealed her real age.
The former shop worker - who is played by actress Dianne Parish in the BBC soap - found herself unemployed after being made redundant and was moaning that she couldn't start life over again at 50 - shocking fans.
Fans couldn't believe how old she revealed herself to be with one writing: "Denise is 50 next week?! She looks pretty damn good! @bbceastenders #EastEnders"
Others were scared she would have to eat out of a bin again.
In a memorable scene Denise was left so destitute during that time that she was forced to steal someone's thrown away chicken dinner from a public bin.
And fans are fearing she's going to be rooting through Walford's rubbish again if she doesn't find a new job soon.
She told Patrick Trueman tonight: "I've been made redundant.
"They sat me down, after getting one last day's work out of me. My office needs downsizing apparently.
"Looks like it's the last in, first out. So looks like I've lost a boyfriend and a job in the space of one week. How's that for a new chapter, eh?"
Earlier this week she dumped boyfriend Kush Kazemi after realising they didn't have a solid future together.
She added: "I'm 50 next week, Patrick. When I was 30 I couldn't imagine being 50.
"Now I'm 50, no job, no partner, nothing. Nothing but regrets and what ifs, and starting all over again.
"I'm too old to start all over again. I'm tired Patrick. I'm 50 and I'm tired of starting all over again."
Patrick did his best to make Denise feel better by telling her it could be worse, but fans still worried they would see a repeat of the infamous chicken incident.
One viewer wrote: "Denise been made redundant... back to the bins."
