PHILLIP Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed that they got stuck in a broken lift at last night's National Television Awards.
Phil and Holly were trapped with other celebs, including Emma Willis and Paddy McGuinness, and Phil showed hilarious footage from the moment on This Morning earlier today.
Holly and Phil were celebrating This Morning winning Best Daytime Show for the ninth year in a row when they got into a lift that kept going up and down without letting them out.
Phil, 56, told viewers at home about the mishap, revealing that they were stuck for "quite some time".
But 37-year-old Holly admitted that she was too busy chatting to even notice that the doors weren't opening.
She said: "I didn’t realise we got stuck in a lift until you told me that."
Phil replied: "You were too busy chatting to the two ladies in the corner!"
To make matters worse, the drama didn't stop for the pair when the lift finally started working again.
Phil added: "Then the door opened and we realised we were on the wrong floor so we had to go back to where we were in the first place!"
Holly and Phil were a little worse for wear when they showed up to the ITV studio today after a night of boozy celebrations.
Alison Hammond stepped in to open the show before the pair surprised fans by bursting into the studio on motorbikes.
Holly had previously revealed that she, Phil, and Phil's wife Steph had started drinking champagne while getting ready for the swanky ceremony - and the pair were spotted sipping from a hipflask throughout the evening.
As well as This Morning, Holly took to the stage for a second time in the evening to accept the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, which she'd presented alongside Declan Donnelly.
The mother-of-four had stepped in to cover for Dec's usual co-host Ant McPartlin, and said in her speech: "Oh my goodness me! Wow! I spoke to the boys earlier on today but they asked me to come here and say thank you so much for voting to a show which is so special to their hearts.
