Hayley Hughes splits from DJ Tom Zanetti just months after discussing marriage
HAYLEY Hughes has split from boyfriend Tom Zanetti after seven months of dating.
The Love Island star broke the news today after attending the NTAs without the 29-year-old last night, telling fans the most important relationships are "with ourselves".
She told fans: “Due to lot of speculation I would like to confirm me and Tom have infact split.
“I believe the most important relationship we have with ourselves. I wish him all the best.”
Hayley, 21, made her romance with the DJ official on Instagram with a series of snaps last August.
Their relationship quickly escalated and it wasn’t long until they started discussing marriage.
In November Hayley admitted that he knew her ring size, saying: ";We were having food one day and he said: ‘One day I’m going to marry you.’
"I do joke about rings – he knows my size."
Hayley first met Tom on Good Morning Britain just after she left the villa and The Sun Online first revealed their romance after they were pictured together on a night out in Ibiza.
During her time on the hit ITV2 show, Hayley struggled to find a real connection with her male co-stars but made headlines due to not knowing what Brexit is.
Hayley was initially coupled up with Eyal Booker and they even shared a kiss before deciding they despised one another.
She then coupled up with Charlie Frederick before the pair became the first couple to be dumped from the villa as they were deemed by their housemates and the public as being the "least compatible" couple.
Last night Hayley let her hair down with Love Island co-star Georgia Steel as they attended the National Television Awards.
The pals appeared to be struggling as they tried to take their shoes off after jumping into their cab home.
Georgia is also single following her split from Sam Bird and is hoping to find love on Celebs Go Dating.
