CORONATION Street's Jack P. Shepherd has revealed that his on-screen brother Nick Tilsley will turn "evil" in an upcoming storyline between the siblings that will last a year.
Fans of the ITV soap have watched as nasty Nick swindled £80k out of money out of their grandmother Audrey’s account and left her dead lover Lewis Archer to take the blame.
And soap boss Iain MacLeod recently teased that David and Nick's relationship will turn sour after "a secret emerges, which proves so corrosive that they end up hating each other more than they ever have".
Speaking to on the National Television Awards red carpet, he revealed viewers are set to see a whole different side to Nick.
He said: "I didn't know this, but Iain [MacLeod, producer] came out and said that it's gonna go on for like a year. I thought it was done, but apparently it's not!
"It's gonna go on for a bit and they're gonna be a bit bad, a bit sort of evil. We've never seen that side to Nick, which is interesting. They can go down that route and sort of blame it on his brain injury, that David sort of gave him!"
Jack likened their sibling feud to "the Cain and Abel Biblical story", as the two try to out smart one another.
He added: "They've wanted to do that for a while. For a long time they've wanted to do that, but it's never quite happened so it's nice that Iain's exploring that."
And 2019 is truly gearing up to not be David's year as Jack added that the return of Kylie's killer Clayton Hibbs to the cobbles will "put a strain" on his relationship with Shona.
His comments come as he attended the National Television Awards at London's The O2 alongside his Coronation Street castmates.
