Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham throw live NTAs into CHAOS backstage with boozy antics – despite Jack’s drinking ban
The duo were on their biggest presenting job to date, hosting from the red carpet and backstage at the star-studded ceremony
DANI Dyer and Jack Fincham desperately tried to blag free drinks during the first commercial break at the 2019 National Television Awards – while panicked producers desperately hunted for them.
The Love Island couple were hosting the red carpet and off-stage action but came close to missing part of the show while searching the O2 Arena for free booze.
They even tried to pretend to pass themselves off as Corrie stars when they were told the free bar was closed until 10pm.
An insider heard them tell bar staff: “Come on we’re with Corrie lot, they’ve been nominated!’
But the thirsty duo eventually managed to blag two beers – before they scurried off back to their seats.
Dani told the women who helped them get a beverage said: “Thank you, girls. We are a pain in the a*se, I know.”
An onlooker told The Sun Online: “Producers were in a panic searching for them as the show was about to start again and they were no where to be seen.”
The Sun Online has contacted representatives of the couple for comment.
The boozy blip comes after The Sun exclusively revealed bosses placed a booze ban on Jack ahead of the show.
To make sure he didn’t mess up his biggest job so far, TV bosses warned him to curb his partying.
A show source said: “Jack has been warned not to party ahead of the NTAs and not to drink on the night.
“Even a sip of champagne or beer is off-limits. He’s got form when it comes to cancelling work commitments and people are worried he’s going to let down everyone working on the event.
“This is the biggest presenting job he has had since being a contestant on Love Island and his team know he needs to prove he can do it. No one wants him to screw it up. Jack has been asked to give his word that he’ll slow down his partying beforehand.
“He said he would clean up his act and hit the gym to stay out of pubs with his mates. But it’s not stopped anyone feeling nervous.”
