Ant McPartlin hopes to inspire men to open up about depression, drugs and addiction
THE phrase “whole new man” is bandied about all too often — but Ant is just that.
When I last sat down with him 18 months ago, he was physically damaged and couldn’t hide the emotional trauma behind his eyes.
Now the glint is back. With his beloved dog Hurley by his side, Ant looked healthy, confident and the happiest I’ve ever seen him.
Ant sat down with me because he’s determined to explain to his million of fans the reality of what he’s been through.
He also hopes to inspire other men in their 40s to open up about depression, drug-addiction and alcohol-dependency.
He knows recovery will not be easy but he’s put being happy above all else, especially when it comes to his relationship with Anne-Marie Corbett. Ant glows any time her name comes up.
