Stacey Dooley mocked for her ‘diva’ demands on Strictly Come Dancing tour
STRICTLY Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley was mocked for being a “diva” by her new dance partner on the opening night of the tour.
Aljaž Škorjanec joked the documentary-maker demanded yellow M&Ms be delivered to her dressing room as he brought up rumours about her backstage.
Stacey, 31, was accused of being a “massive diva” by crew in the run-up to the BBC show final last year.
The Sun exclusively revealed the BBC3 presenter ordered staff to go and buy her a new outfit ahead of a radio and press conference appearance - despite all the shops being closed.
Stacey denied she had been acting up behind the scenes and went on to win the glitterball trophy with professional dance partner Kevin Clifton.
Kevin was unavailable to do the tour this year, so has been replaced by Aljaž who took the opportunity to wind up Stacey after their first performance last night.
But he couldn’t hide his excitement to be dancing with a champion as they made their debut at Arena
Birmingham in front of 10,000 fans.
They are touring the country alongside Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev, Dr Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara, Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard, Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, Graeme Swann and Karen Clifton and Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice for the spectacular tour.
YouTube sensation Joe proved he’s still head over heels for his Strictly girlfriend Dianne after taking a tumble on stage during his first performance on the tour.
The red-headed professional ended up on top of her celebrity boyfriend after a mishap dancing to Arctic Monkeys' I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor.
Joe, 27, later joked to crowds: “It was a bit of a bumpy start, but we got through it.”
Despite his fall, the internet star still managed to beat Stacey who crashed out of the competition after failing to win over the crowd at Arena Birmingham.
She had earlier joked she would “kick off” if she didn’t win over crowds on tour.
So Stacey was put to the test when her co-star Joe was crowned winner of the spectacular first show hosted by former king of the dance floor Ore Oduba.

During rehearsals on Thursday, Ore told The Sun Online: "The audience is charge of who wins the show, which is good because it means every show is different.
"I’m in the most privileged position because I’m like anybody else who just loves the show. I sit there on a Saturday night and watch it religiously.
“To be in the middle of the arena and have the best seat in the house with the best audience on telly and these incredible dancers is so special.”
Ore will be keeping all four judges - Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli - in check as they tour the UK for a month.
• The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour opened last night at Arena Birmingham before travelling across the UK to Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Manchester Arena, Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Sheffield’s Fly DSA Arena, The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena and The SSE Arena, Wembley. The final tour ends at The O2 Arena in London on February 9/10.
