ANT McPartlin was seen beaming with delight after making an emotional TV comeback on Britain’s Got Talent.
The Geordie presenter, 43, broke down on stage yesterday after his co-host Declan Donnelly introduced him to a screaming audience at the London Palladium.
After embracing Dec, Ant said: “Hello everyone, I’m really, really, emotional now. I missed you all.”
Pointing at Dec, also 43, he said: “As for you, I missed you.”
He then said: “Thank you for that lovely welcome. It’s a great show to come back to. I’m thrilled, I’m over the moon. Shall we move on before I cry?”
The pair then introduced BGT judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell.
Simon, 59, said: “It was not the same. Even though Dec was brilliant, I mean it still wasn’t the same.
“It would be like me not being with David. I would be happy but not as happy if that makes sense. So on behalf of all of us, welcome back.”
After the show, Ant was all smiles as he left the London Palladium with Dec.
Earlier, Ant and Dec posted a selfie of them being driven to the West End theatre, captioned: “Audition day 1. The boys are back in town!”

And Ant soon brushed off any cobwebs by dancing around a maypole to the lads’ hit song Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble as part of one hopeful's routine.
Ant has been off work since crashing his car while drunk in March last year. He later checked into rehab for prescription drug and drink problems.
He missed six BGT live shows, two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway and the entire series of I’m A Celebrity, where he was replaced by Holly Willoughby.
